Fiber Optic Sensor Solutions

Banner Engineering Fiber Optic Sensor Solutions are versatile sensors ideal for use in space-constrained and harsh environments. These sensors can also handle a lack of power at the sensing location. The amplifier, or sensor, emits, receives, and converts light energy into an electrical signal. Individual fiber-optic assemblies guide light from the amplifier to a sensing location or from the sensing location back to the amplifier. The small size and flexibility of fiber optics allow these Banner sensor solutions to be positioned and mounted in tight spaces. The fibers can be designed to withstand high moisture or corrosive materials and are immune to electrical noise.

DF-G2 General-Purpose Fiber Optic Amplifiers

Banner Engineering DF-G2 General-Purpose Fiber Optic Amplifiers achieve 10μs response time with 5μs repeatability. Easy-to-read dual digital displays show the signal level and threshold values. Banner DF-G2 models with IO-Link enable a point-to-point communication link between a master device and a sensor, facilitating remote monitoring, teaching, and configuration. The simple user interface ensures easy sensor set-up and programming via displays and switches/buttons or a remote input teach wire.
