Fastener Applications in Commercial ESS

PEM Fastener Applications in Commercial Energy Storage Systems (ESS) include fasteners for every component of a battery ESS. PEM fasteners are IP-rated for ingress protection and fully tested to protect electric vehicle (EV) components from the elements. The fasteners expand and contract to keep joints sealed after thermal expansion. PEM mechanical bolted joints are easy to disassemble and reassemble. MPP microPEM Self-Clinching Pins

PEM MPP™ microPEM® Self-Clinching Pins are ideal for micro positioning and alignment applications in today's compact electronic assemblies. These micro pins clinch permanently into place by simply pressing them into a properly sized mounting hole. They can be installed into a variety of sheet materials up to HRB 92/HB 195 in hardness. The head mounts flush into panels as thin as 0.5mm, while the chamfered end makes mating hole alignment easy. They also can be installed automatically to streamline production and eliminate issues associated with the handling of small parts. PEM MPP microPEM Self-Clinching Pins resist corrosion and are RoHS compliant. Typical applications include wearables, laptops, smartphones, gaming and handheld devices, infotainment, automotive electronics, and more.

PEM Consumer Electronics (Tack) offer microPEM® solutions such as TackPin® fasteners to assemble electronic devices that have thin-sheet or panel enclosures. PEM fasteners are smaller than screws and have a sleek cosmetic profile, making them ideal for today's consumer electronics. They are lighter, stronger, and more reliable than traditional screws. They are also easier to install, which results in faster production and reduced maintenance on the line. PEM fasteners also reduce or eliminate loose hardware, which means less scrap waste. PEM Consumer Electronics (Tack) products feature a variety of TackPin Self-Clinching Fasteners, including MPP™ microPEM Self-Clinching Pins, MSOFS™ microPEM Flaring Standoffs, SMTSO™ microPEM Surface-Mount Fasteners.
