SN65HVD1785 Transceivers

Texas Instruments' ± 70V, fault protected, half-duplex, 5V RS-485 SN65HVD1785 transceivers feature speed grades of 128kbps/1Mbps/10Mbps and a wide common mode of operation from -20V to +25V. The transceivers are designed to survive over-voltage faults such as direct shorts to power supplies, mis-wiring faults, connector failures, cable crushes, and tool misapplications. The devices feature built-in internal current-limit circuits that allow fault survivability without causing high bus currents that otherwise might damage external components or power supplies.

SN65HVD1785 RS-485 Transceivers

Texas Instruments SN65HVD1785 RS-485 Transceivers combine a differential driver and receiver that operate from a single power supply and are connected internally to form a bus port suitable for half-duplex communication. This TI device is designed to survive overvoltage faults, mis-wiring faults, connector failures, cable crushes, and tool mis-applications. The SNRHVD1785 features ± 70V fault protection and a wide common mode of -20V to +25V. The product is ideal for HVAC, battery-powered systems, power inverters, and industrial automation.
