Compression Connectors

Molex Compression Connectors for mobile devices are dual-row, surface mount, halogen-free connectors with linear or staggered contacts. These miniature and mechanically resilient compression connectors provide excellent electrical contact for reliable operations in ultra-slim mobile devices. 78864 series connectors feature low-level contact resistance of 30mΩ. This assures the operational performance of the connector at extremely low current levels. The 78864 series also has a low working height of 1.20mm that provides significant vertical space savings for ultra-slim applications. The dimpled mating contacts of the 78864 series helps to maintain high contact pressure for enhanced electrical reliability. The high terminal retention force of the 78864 and 78732 series protects terminal solder joints against compressive stresses during mating. Molex compression connectors also feature high shock resistance of up to 30G (78732) or 50G (78864), ensuring uninterrupted electrical connectivity in shock conditions.
