ABLIC S-82Y1B Battery Protection ICs For 1-Cell Pack are protection ICs for lithium-ion/lithium-polymer rechargeable batteries, which consist of high-accuracy voltage detection circuits and delay circuits. These ICs feature a −40°C to 85°C wide operating temperature range, power down function, and 0V battery charge (enabled and disabled). The S-82Y1B battery protection ICs are suitable for protecting 1-cell lithium-ion/lithium-polymer rechargeable battery packs from overcharge, over-discharge, and overcurrent. Typical applications include lithium-ion rechargeable battery packs and lithium-polymer rechargeable battery packs.Features
- High-accuracy voltage detection circuit:
- 3.5V to 4.8V (5mV step) overcharge detection voltage (accuracy ±15mV)
- 3.1V to 4.8V*1 overcharge release voltage (accuracy ±50mV)
- 2V to 3V (10mV step) over-discharge detection voltage (accuracy ±50mV)
- 2V to 3.4V*2 over-discharge release voltage (accuracy ±75mV)
- 3mV to 50mV (0.25mV step) discharge overcurrent 1 detection voltage (accuracy ±0.5mV)
- 6mV to 100mV (0.5mV step) discharge overcurrent 2 detection voltage (accuracy ±1.5mV)
- 15mV to 100mV (1mV step) load short-circuiting detection voltage (accuracy ±3.0mV)
- −50mV to −3mV (0.25mV step) charge overcurrent detection voltage (accuracy ±0.5mV)
- Detection delay times are generated only by an internal circuit (external capacitors are unnecessary)
