ZZZ-Amphenol Micro-Coax ARACON Braided EMI Shields
Amphenol Micro-Coax ARACON® Braided EMI Shields are pre-braided socks constructed from ultra-fine, highly flexible ARACON fibers. The ARACON fibers combine the electrical performance of a metal outer layer with the lightweight strength and flexibility of DuPont™ KEVLAR®, offering up to 80% weight reduction and stronger connector attachment compared to traditional copper braid. The fine yarn bundles naturally flatten and spread during braiding, resulting in coverage levels typically exceeding 90% and helping minimize windowing. The lineup includes four variants: 100% nickel- or silver-plated ARACON and 75/25% blended nickel- or silver-plated ARACON. These braided shields are ready for installation over cables and harnesses to provide exceptional electromagnetic interference protection. Amphenol Micro-Coax ARACON Braided EMI Shields are qualified for lightning strike protection and are ideal for aerospace applications and other harsh environments.
