Maxim Integrated和HALO Electronics共同开发了面向RS-485/Profibus高速工业应用的完全隔离的收发器解决方案。Maxim RS-485/Profibus半双工DP收发器可提供电隔离（2750V或5000V），通过断开接地环路提高通信性能。这样还能降低因端口之间的较大接地电位差异导致的噪声。
HALO隔离变压器为电源提供电流隔离（2750V或5000V）。这些变压器的设计采用了最佳匝比和ET常数，用于配合Maxim收发器使用。使用两种解决方案时，电缆和电路UART侧之间的信号与电源完全隔离。
