Benewake VLS-H5 Underwater 360° Single-Line Scanning LiDAR

Benewake VLS-H5 Underwater 360° Single-Line Scanning LiDAR obtains high-precision point cloud data by measuring distances to pool walls via 360° scanning at six times per second. The data, combined with SLAM technology, allows robots and other devices to quickly capture the contour of the operating area, supporting mapping, localization, and obstacle avoidance.

The Benewake VLS-H5 Underwater 360° Single-Line Scanning LiDAR features an integrated hardware and software anti-ambient-light design, upgrading the standard tolerance from 100KLux to 160KLux. In clear water, the VLS-H5 has a detection range of over 5 meters, with a single scan covering more than 78m² of pool area. Even in turbid water (NTU ≤ 4), it maintains an effective range of ≥1.5 meters. Incorporated with algorithmic compensation, the device delivers accuracy better than 3cm, ensuring precise localization, stable movement, and drift-free operation for the robot.

The VLS-H5 achieves IPX8 waterproof protection in a compact 75mm × 52mm × 53mm form factor, enabling long-term, stable operation to depths of up to four meters underwater.
