KEMET Resin-Coated Actuators

KEMET Resin-Coated Actuators feature a smaller size than conventional piezoelectric actuators, but produce higher displacements and forces at a low voltage. These multilayer piezoelectric actuators are available in the AE, AER, AL, and AS series. The KEMET actuators are constructed using a proprietary element-structure design and piezoelectric ceramic materials with high electrostrictive coefficients. Specifications include a maximum driving voltage of 150VDC, an insulation resistance of 1MΩ or higher, and ±20% capacitance tolerance. The resin-coated actuators are ideal for a variety of applications, including high-speed valves, wire bonding, control valves, printers, and mirror, lens, and prism alignment.
