Kinetic Technologies KTB1095EYAA-MMEV01 Evaluation Kit

Kinetic Technologies KTB1095EYAA-MMEV01 Evaluation Kit is used to demonstrate and evaluate the KTB1095 functionality, performance, and PCB layout. This evaluation board provides a 12V, 60W output with a flyback topology, with power and signal I/O connections and an array of test points for signal observation. The Kinetic Technologies KTB1095 is a highly integrated, isolated synchronous flyback controller with internal feedback and a digital isolator. The internal digital isolator eliminates the need for an external optocoupler and enables a smaller total solution.

Required Equipment

  • Power sourcing equipment, such as a supply, should provide 36V-75V up to 3A as needed for the intended application
  • Digital multimeters, two required, are used to measure input/output voltages and currents
  • Load with any of the following may be used:
    • Electronic load capable of sinking 12V at 5A (60W)
    • A power resistor with 2.4Ω/60W or greater value is required
    • Actual system load that does not exceed 60W at 12V
  • Test leads
    • One pair of banana-to-clip test leads connects a voltmeter to the eval board VIN
    • Two pairs of banana-jack test leads connect VOUT/SGND to an electronic load and voltmeter
  • Oscilloscope with 10x probes to monitor switching regulator waveforms (optional)
