Mikroe Brushless 28 Click
Mikroe Brushless 28 Click is a compact add-on board for three-phase BLDC motor control in automotive and industrial motor-drive applications. It is based on the Texas Instruments DRV8334-Q1 automotive three-phase gate driver and uses onboard CSD88599Q5DC N-channel power MOSFETs to support compact motor-control designs.
The board supports a VIN operating range of 5V to 45V. It uses an integrated bootstrap diode and GVDD charge pump to generate the gate-drive voltages needed from a single power supply terminal. Mikroe Brushless 28 Click also supports 1x PWM control with internally stored 6-step block commutation tables, resistor-based low-side current sensing, and SPI-based configuration and diagnostics for flexible BLDC or PMSM motor control.
Diagnostic and protection support includes undervoltage lockout, overcurrent monitoring, overtemperature shutdown, fault indication, direction control, brake control, and low-power operation. The board is ideal for fuel, water, and oil pumps; automotive fans and blowers; body motors; transmission actuators; and other BLDC or PMSM motor systems. The board supports either 3.3V or 5V logic via the VCC SEL jumper.
