STMicroelectronics AEK-MOT-4DCMH94 Evaluation Board

STMicroelectronics AEK-MOT-4DCMH94 Evaluation Board is a configurable quad half-bridge or dual H-bridge DC motor driver board based on the L99MH94 half-bridge pre-drivers. The board is designed to drive brushed DC motors across body control and convenience applications, including seat control, steering column adjustment, gas pedal adjustment, sunroof, sliding doors, window lift, and washer pump systems. The board can drive four configurable channels in half-bridge mode or two channels in full-bridge mode, allowing two motors to run simultaneously.

The STMicroelectronics AEK-MOT-4DCMH94 supports current measurement either via shunt resistors or indirectly using the RDS(on) of MOSFETs external to the L99MH94. The control board manages the L99MH94 pre-drivers through a 24-bit SPI interface, while SPI status registers provide diagnostic information for supply voltage, charge pump voltage, temperature warnings, and overtemperature shutdown. The board also includes off-state diagnostics for short-to-ground, short-to-battery, and open-load conditions, as well as reverse-polarity protection and AutoDevKit ecosystem support via the STSW-AUTODEVKIT.
