Texas Instruments DRV8762-Q1 H-Bridge Gate Driver
Texas Instruments DRV8762-Q1 H-Bridge Gate Driver is an integrated smart gate driver for 48V automotive H-Bridge applications. The device provides two half-bridge gate drivers, each capable of driving high-side and low-side N-channel power MOSFETs for automotive motor-control systems.
The DRV8762-Q1 utilizes an external 12V supply and an integrated bootstrap diode to generate the correct high-side gate-drive voltages. The TI DRV8762-Q1 H-Bridge Gate Driver includes Smart Gate Drive architecture, configurable peak gate-drive current, and closed-loop automatic deadtime insertion. Furthermore, the device features a trickle-charge pump that supports 100% PWM duty-cycle control and an overdrive gate-drive voltage for external switches.
The gate driver is ideal for 48V automotive motor control applications, automotive body motors, transmission actuators, and automotive BDC motors. Integrated low-side current-sense amplifiers, SPI-based diagnostics, protection features, and configurable device responses help support robust motor-drive system designs with fewer external components.
