ZZZ-Paktron Quencharc® Q/QRL Capacitors
Paktron Quencharc® Q/QRL Capacitors are energy-efficient RC snubber networks designed for arc suppression and transient control. These capacitors are used for relay contact protection, dv/dt suppression on thyristors and triacs, noise reduction on controllers and drivers, and EMI/RFI reduction. The RC network suppresses the transient voltage that appears when contacts open, helping prevent arcing while also limiting inrush current when contacts close. These capacitors are available in capacitance values from 0.1µF to 1µF and a rated voltage range of 125VAC to 600VAC. The RC suppression network combines a metallized polyester capacitor with an integrated series resistor in a UL 94V-0 flame-retardant epoxy-coated assembly.
