Infineon Technologies 65W USB-C™ Power Delivery Reference Designs

Infineon 65W USB-C® Power Delivery Reference Designs were developed for use in USB-PD chargers (REF_65W_HFZVS_PAG2 and REF_65W_HFZVS_PAG2_PA) or notebook USB-PD adapters (REF_65W_HFZVS_LP_PAG2). These are all based on a secondary-side-controlled ZVS flyback with 100VAC to 240VAC operation and an output voltage from 5V to 20V. The output power is 65W. The design meets the current EuP Lot6 tiny load and notebook (REF_65W_HFZVS_LP_PAG2) requirements.

The REF_65W_HFZVS_PAG2 and REF_65W_HFZVS_PAG2_PA features the industry’s benchmark uncased power density (32W/in3) based on the EZ-PD™ PAG2-QZ. The REF_65W_HFZVS_LP_PAG2 features a low-profile (16.25mm Z height) design with a power density of 26.6W/in3. The REF_65W_HFZVS_PAG2 and REF_65W_HFZVS_PAG2_PA design is powered by Infineon CoolGaN™ (GS-065-009-6S-L) with a lossless current sense feature. The typical applications for these reference designs are USB Type-C chargers and adapters.
