ROHM Semiconductor EMZ6.8AM Transient Voltage Suppressors

ROHM Semiconductor EMZ6.8AM Transient Voltage Suppressors are compact, high-reliability protection devices designed to safeguard sensitive electronic circuits from transient voltage spikes and electrostatic discharge (ESD) events. Built on a silicon epitaxial planar structure and housed in a space-saving SOT-416 (EMD3) package, the EMZ6.8AM integrates dual protection elements into a single device and is well-suited for applications with limited PCB space. The suppressors feature a 3.5V reverse stand-off voltage, a 6.47V to 7.14V Zener voltage range, and low leakage current, helping maintain normal circuit operation while providing effective overvoltage protection.

Designed for surge protection, the ROHM EMZ6.8AM offers IEC 61000-4-2 ESD immunity ratings of up to ±15kV air discharge and ±8kV contact discharge. The low 9pF typical capacitance helps preserve signal integrity, making it suitable for consumer electronics, communication equipment, computing devices, industrial controls, and other applications requiring reliable protection against ESD and transient surges.
