Schneider Electric Designing a Standalone Conveyor
Schneider Electric offers a typical standard architecture solution for designing a standalone conveyor system for material transportation. This conveyor solution provides a flexible mechanical design that improves the efficiency of warehouse transportation systems. The automation setup provides energy efficiency and management of the accumulation function. Sensors are used to detect the presence of material to start and stop movement in each section of the conveyor system. The transmission is designed with small drives that control an asynchronous motor and gearbox for speeds up to 1.5m/s and unlimited start/stop cycles. This standalone conveyor architecture solution from Schneider Electric is suitable for a warehouse with low levels of automation.
