ES-413/420/446/457 Ethernet to Serial Servers

Brainboxes ES-413/420/446/457 Ethernet to Serial Servers offer a reliable and versatile solution for bridging Ethernet and serial communication by providing access to RS232/RS422/485 serial ports. These devices offer data transfer rates up to 1,000,000 baud, coupled with 1Mbit/s line drivers, delivering uncompromising performance. The Power over Ethernet (PoE) uses the IEEE 802.3af standard, which is compatible with any PoE switch. The ES-413/420/446/457 Ethernet to Serial Servers provide simple, instant networked serial ports. The Serial Port Tunnelling (individually configurable) allows serial cable replacement over any distance, requiring no additional software. For Windows operating systems, the custom-designed (32-bit/64-bit) driver provides users with local COM ports. This enables the maintenance of existing software applications while connecting to remote devices across the network as if they were connected locally. Typical applications include computers, industrial automation equipment, and point-of-sale systems.

Brainboxes Ethernet to Serial Device Servers enable communication between a serial-enabled device and a computer on a local network or with internet access anywhere in the world. These modules are plug-and-play, so no network expertise is required. A browser-based graphic user interface (GUI) allows secure configuration and control of the serial ports over a local network or the internet. Variants include desktop and laboratory, industrial, light industrial, small form factor, and power over Ethernet (PoE).
