NXP RD4247MAG3110 Sensor Toolbox Tilt-Compensated eCompass Kit provides hardware and software for demonstrating the capability of the NXP MAG3110. MAG3110 is a 3-axis digital magnetometer in an eCompass application with hard- and soft-iron calibration. NXP RD4247MAG3110 eCompass Kit includes an LFSTBUSB USB-interface board and USB cable for connecting the evaluation board to a PC's USB port. It also contains an LFSTBEB3110 kit comprising the MAG3110 magnetometer and MMA8451Q accelerometer sensor board as well as the adapter board.

NXP's MAG3110 Three-Axis Digital Magnetometer is a small, low-power digital 3-D magnetic sensor with a wide dynamic range to allow operation in PCBs with high extraneous magnetic fields. The MAG3110 Three-Axis Digital Magnetometer measures the three components of the local magnetic field which will be the sum of the geomagnetic field and the magnetic field created by components on the circuit board. NXP's MAG3110 Three-Axis Digital Magnetometer can be used in conjunction with a 3-axis accelerometer to produce orientation-independent accurate compass heading information.
