ADS8326 High-Speed 16-Bit ADCs

Texas Instruments ADS8326 Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADCs) are designed as high-speed, 16-bit, sampling ADC specified for a supply voltage range from 2.7V to 5.5V. ADS8326 ADCs require very little power, even when operating at the full data rate. At lower data rates, the high speed of the ADCs enables the device to spend most of its time in the power-down mode. For example, the average power dissipation is less than 0.2mW at a 10kHz data rate. Also, Texas Instruments ADS8326 ADCs provide excellent linearity and very low noise and distortion. The devices also feature a synchronous serial (SPI/SSI-compatible) interface and a differential input. Designers can set the reference voltage to any level within the range of 0.1V to VDD. ADS8326's low-power operation and small size make it ideal for portable and battery-operated systems. The devices are also well-suited for remote data-acquisition modules, simultaneous multichannel systems, and isolated data acquisition.
