The ADZS-SC58x evaluation tools are available as individual boards (ADZS-SC584 EZ-Board® and ADZS-SC589 EZ-Board®) and packaged kits (ADZS-SC584 EZ-KIT Lite® and ADZS-SC589 EZ-KIT Lite®).

The ADZS-SC58x EZ-KIT Lite includes CrossCore® Embedded Studio (CCES) and the ICE-1000 emulator. Working in conjunction with CrossCore Embedded Studio®, the emulator offers state-of-the-art support for all JTAG-compliant Analog Devices processors using CoreSight™ from ARM. The CCES development environment aids designers with advanced application code development and debug functions. CCES supported functions include the following:

  • Creating, compiling, assembling, and linking application programs written in C++, C, and assembly language
  • Loading, running, stepping, halting, and setting breakpoints in application programs
  • Reading and writing data and program memory
  • Reading and writing core and peripheral registers

Designers who already have an ICE-1000 or ICE-2000 emulator can purchase the ADZS-SC584 EZ-Board® separately. The ADZS-SC584 EZ-Board® is delivered with the required hardware to start evaluation of the ADSP-SC584 SHARC processors. The ADZS-SC584 EZ-Board package includes the standalone evaluation board, CE-approved power supply, and a USB cable.
