Adafruit 38xx micro:bit Development Boards are available in Pimoroni noise:bit and Pimoroni scroll:bit for micro:bit variants. The Pimoroni noise:bit for micro:bit is used to generate sound bites, tones, and so on with the sound generation blocks. This noise:bit is an amplifier, not a synthesizer. The audio still comes from the micro:bit PWM output on pad #0. The Pimoroni scroll:bit can add 119 individual LED-blinkies to the micro:bit and is used to make graphs, animations, and so on with the code generation blocks. The 38xx micro:bit development boards can experiment with MicroPython in the Mu code editor. These development boards come fully assembled, ready-to-use, and compatible with micro:bit.
