Advantech ICR-3231 Industrial 4G Router & IoT Gateway
Advantech ICR-3231 Industrial 4G Router and IoT Gateway is an LTE Cat. 4 gateway designed to connect IP and serial devices across cellular networks for Industrial M2M and IoT deployments. The router supports applications such as SCADA, industrial PCs, HMIs, traffic controllers, CCTV, meters, kiosks, and UPS systems while providing the bandwidth needed for higher-demand remote connectivity.
The device combines dual Ethernet ports, RS232 and RS485, digital I/O, dual-SIM failover support, and an open Linux-based ICR-OS platform, enabling users to deploy custom applications directly at the network edge. The Advantech ICR-3231 Industrial 4G Router and IoT Gateway also includes a 1GHz Cortex® A8 CPU, 512MB RAM, and 4GB eMMC flash memory in pSLC mode, with 1.3GB allocated for customer software and data. Python, C/C++, Node-RED, and Docker container support expand flexibility for industrial edge and gateway implementations.
The router is built for industrial environments, with a metal enclosure, DIN rail and wall-mounting options, support for sleep mode, a backup real-time clock, and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +75°C. Optional Wi‑Fi, BLUETOOTH®, GNSS, and EdgeLink support are available elsewhere in the ICR-3200 series, while the base ICR-3231 model focuses on essential wired, serial, and cellular gateway functionality for EMEA deployments.
