This transmission method minimizes the possibility of signal corruption in digital environments. The SSM3582 amplifiers deliver an outstanding analog performance with a 106dB signal-to-noise ratio and a low 0.004% total harmonic distortion (THD) + N. Operating from a single 4.5V to 16V supply, SSM3582 amplifiers deliver 2 x 15Wrms continuously into 8Ω and 4Ω loads at <1% THD. SSM3582’s efficient modulation scheme maintains excellent power efficiency over a wide range of impedances.
Optimization of the output pulse maintains performance at impedances as low as 3Ω/5μH, enabling its use with extended bandwidth tweeters. These SSM3582 amplifiers are specified over the commercial temperature range of −40°C to +85°C. The SSM3582 amplifiers offer built-in thermal shutdown and output short-circuit protection, as well as an early thermal warning with programmable gain limiting to maintain operation.
