SEGGER Microcontroller 6.30.00 emPower Evaluation Board

SEGGER Microcontroller 6.30.00 emPower Evaluation Board includes an evaluation set of SEGGER's middleware products, embOS real-time operating system, and evaluation versions of the file system emFile. The board has a NXP Kinetis K66 microcontroller and is designed without jumpers and configuration switches to easily illustrate the extensive capabilities of SEGGER's high-performance, feature-rich software.

Also included are the graphics library emWin, emUSB Host and Device, and TCP/IP stack embOS/IP (including web server demo). This allows for full use of the available emPower peripherals. emPower also features a J-Link OB, a debug probe J-Link with drag and drop programming.

Three expansion interfaces can easily connect additional modules and each connector provides I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO/timer, analog input, and power. A display adapter connector enables the connection of small TFT displays. The emPower board is powered by USB only. Current consumption drawn strongly depends on the application and connected peripherals. Idle consumption is approx. 85mA.

SEGGER Microcontroller 6.32.32 emPower RS232 Add-On Module features a TI RS232 IC and is equipped with a female DSUB9 connector. This allows for the add-on board to be connected to a PC (or a USB to serial adapter) directly or by using a 1:1 male/female cable (this module is a peripheral or DCE).

This module can be plugged to one of the three Expansion Interfaces (J500/ExpIF0, J501/ExpIF1, J502/ExpIF2) of the emPower V2 board.

SEGGER Microcontroller 6.30.00 emPower Evaluation Board

SEGGER Microcontroller 6.37.01 WiFi Module features the Atmel ATWILC1000, a link controller meant for usage with third party TCP/IP stacks. The controller provides IEEE 802.11b/g/n WiFi support in a 2.4GHz band.

The firmware of the ATWILC1000 is loaded from the host MCU. This provides an easy way of updating the WiFi module firmware together with the host MCU firmware. The WiFi firmware can be loaded from an externel source as well.

SEGGER Microcontroller 6.37.03.01 WiFi Module for emPower Board Redpine Signals RS9113 (2.4+5GHz) features the Redpine Signals RS9113. The RS9113 is a controller supporting IEEE 802.11b/g/n WiFi networks in a 2.4GHz band. This version of the module also includes support for the 5GHz band.

Modules that support the 5GHz band offer 802.11n at 2.4GHz/5GHz and 802.11a at 5GHz. Connection RS9113 and WiSeConnect RS9113 and modules compatible to these product familys are supported. The WiFi firmware comes pre-loaded in the module keeping it away from the host MCU firmware. The WiFi module can be updated manually.
