Solidigm D7-P5810 Solid State Drives (SSDs)

Solidigm D7-P5810 Solid State Drives (SSDs) are ultra-fast SLC PCIe 4.0 SSDs with up to 50x Drive Writes Per Day (DWPD) for workloads with extreme write intensity and high endurance needs. These SSDs are ultra-fast Single-Level Cell (SLC) NVM Express (NVMe) devices specifically designed to meet the demanding requirements of enterprise environments. These SSDs excel in write-heavy workloads such as caching, High-Performance Computing (HPC), logging, and journaling, delivering nearly 2x better performance compared to alternative options. These SSDs serve as a cache or write buffer to eliminate performance bottlenecks and significantly improve Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Along with high endurance and performance, these SSDs operate with lower power consumption than storage-class memory alternatives.

Persistent Write Buffer

The D7-P5810 drives can also be used with QLC drives in a Cloud Storage Acceleration Layer (CSAL) deployment as a persistent write buffer. The CSAL is an open-source software layer designed to utilize storage-class media as a write cache. This optimizes diverse write workloads by converting them into NAND-friendly, large I/O sequential writes, utilizing storage-class media as a write cache. CSAL unleashes the value of high-density NAND flash by leveraging a host-side FTL to transform any write workload to a sequential write workload.
