Mouser Electronics supports UTA College of Engineering

Mouser Electronics is excited to be a sponsor of the College of Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) where students are pursuing various fields of engineering to create viable solutions to the most pressing problems of today and the future.

Approximately 9,500 undergraduate and graduate students from across the globe are enrolled in the College's seven departments, which include Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Mouser is pleased to support the UTA College of Engineering to inspire tomorrow’s engineers.

College of Engineering

The College is among the most comprehensive engineering programs in North Texas, with 12 baccalaureate, 13 Master's and nine doctoral programs. Students from around the world work with the award-winning faculty members in state-of-the-art facilities, acquiring the knowledge and skills they'll need to succeed.

College of Engineering Banquet (Part of UTA Engineers Week)

Every year, the college celebrates Engineers Week during the week of George Washington's birthday on February 22. The founding father is considered America's first engineer. The College of Engineering will reach out to the University and the surrounding community to showcase what engineers do and why they are important in daily life. Mouser is proud to support the annual College of Engineering Banquet.

Innovation Day

Innovation Day celebrates and showcases the innovative, transformative research and undergraduate capstone projects being done by College of Engineering students. Community members and industry leaders are invited to participate and observe the depth and breadth of research occurring in UTA's College of Engineering. Mouser is excited to sponsor the annual Innovation Day event.

HackUTA

HackUTA, one of North Texas' largest hackathons, is a 24-hour marathon for students to design, develop, and pitch a project from scratch. Regardless of experience, skill, major, or background, students will work together to pitch the best solution possible. Mouser is pleased to sponsor HackUTA.

Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Banquet

Software engineers are the creative minds behind computer programs, such as developing the applications that allow people to do specific tasks on computers or other devices and developing the underlying systems that run devices or control networks. Mouser is proud to support the annual CSE Banquet.

Texas Autocross Weekend

UTA Racing is the Formula SAE team from UTA. Every year, the team designs and builds a formula car to compete in the International Formula SAE® Series against other universities across the globe. Established in 1982, the team is one of the most successful in the series' history, having won eight championships in the United States and three abroad. Mouser is honored to support the annual Texas Autocross Weekend event.

As part of the UTA Texas Autocross Weekend Event, some of the team members submitted written essays for Mouser to review and judge. The list of 2022 winners below were awarded with Mouser credits for the teams to buy components for their vehicles.

  • First Place: Gerry Mullins from Texas A&M University
  • Second Place: Cristian Cruz from University of Texas at Dallas
  • Third Place: We Vu from University of Texas at Arlington
  • Honorable Mention: Seth Jones from Texas A&M University
