Kinetic Technologies KTS1625 Low Voltage 16-Bit I2C-Bus I/O Expander
Kinetic Technologies KTS1625 Low Voltage 16-Bit I2C-Bus I/O Expander is a general-purpose I/O expander for microcontrollers over the I2C bus when additional I/Os are needed, while keeping interconnections to a minimum. The KTS1625 supports a power rail ranging from 1.65V to 5.5V. It meets the I2C Fast-mode Plus spec up to 1MHz. Internal power-on reset and I2C software reset provide flexible methods for resetting the IC. Eight adjustable I2C slave addresses allow multiple KTS1625S on a single I2C bus.
The Kinetic Technologies KTS1625 provides multiple ways to program the 16-bit I/O ports. When the port works as input, it can program the polarity, latch, pull-up, pull-down, and interrupt functions. The interrupt function includes level- and edge-trigger, mask, clear, and status features. For a system with noisy input, KTS1625 also provides a debounce function with programmable debounce time. When the port operates as output, it can program the output stage with bank- and pin-selectable push-pull or open-drain options, and program four output drive strengths to optimize rise/fall times.
The Kinetic Technologies KTS1625 is available in a RoHS and green-compliant 24-pin 4.0mm x 4.0mm WQFN package.
