Infineon Technologies CoolGaN™ BDS Evaluation Boards
Infineon Technologies CoolGaN™ BDS Evaluation Boards are compact daughter boards for assembling and evaluating 40V GaN bidirectional switches. The EVAL_IGK048B041S_GaN, EVAL_IGK080B041S_GaN, and EVAL_IGK120B041S_GaN boards are designed to support bidirectional GaN switch performance evaluation during design-in, measurement, and validation workflows.
The evaluation boards connect to the EVAL_GD_BDS_GAN gate driver board via an aligned Berg stick board-to-board connector. Infineon CoolGaN BDS Eval Boards support normally-off monolithic GaN bidirectional switches with dual-gate independent control, enabling a common-drain structure for voltage and current blocking in both directions.
The boards are excellent for evaluating compact bidirectional switching in USB-C chargers and load switches, eFuses, and battery management systems. The CoolGaN BDS switches help replace multiple unidirectional switches, reducing component count while improving switching speed, efficiency, power density, and reliability.
