Toshiba USB Type-C™ Data Mux & Power Delivery Switches
Toshiba USB Type-C™ Data Mux and Power Delivery Switches support new features and new technology in mobile applications. Devices are charged with USB Power Delivery systems with higher charging voltages than before. For example, a 100W charging system delivers 20V/5A and would require a 30V-tolerant switch. Toshiba provides low-resistance 30V switches, including MOSFETs and IC switches, that provide overvoltage protection and slew rate control.
USB Type-C™ features a reversible connector, so an SPDT data mux might be required to transmit/receive data correctly at the right pins. Toshiba has mobile 10GBps data mux to help switch high-speed signals like USB 3.1 and HDMI. Solutions are also available for low-speed USB 2.0 SPDT switches.
Toshiba has effective ESD diodes for USB ports that are vulnerable to ESD damage. ESD Protection Diodes are a robust and effective solution for stopping expensive RMAs caused by ESD damage. High speed signals will require low capacitance ESD.
